Mr. Splurge is saving up his money for the latest evil hat he saw on TV. He decides to hide his money by carving a pumpkin and keeping it inside.
When Penny and Nickel join him for a pumpkin decorating party, Mr. Splurge realizes his money is a sticky mess from being inside the pumpkin. Penny and Nickel explain that a savings account at the bank is an easy and safe way to save money. The pair ultimately convinced him to open an account at Central National Bank.
After going to the bank with Mr. Splurge, they finally have time to decorate and carve their pumpkins for Halloween.
Penny decides to make her pumpkin into a black cat with ears and whiskers popping out. Nickel decorates his to be a scary but classic jack-o-lantern.
Since Mr. Splurge will not be able to afford his dream evil hat in time for halloween, he decides to carve one into his pumpkin (so at least someone can wear it.)
Once they all completed their pumpkin art, they take them outside and put festive candles in each to be displayed on the front porch. Now they have the most festive porch on the block!
